CP Technologies Breaks Ground on New Headquarters and Manufacturing Facility in Prescott Arizona

The Company Designs and Manufactures Rugged Computer Hardware for Aviation, Military, Industrial and Commercial Markets

PRESCOTT, AZ (June 25, 2020) — CP Technologies, a designer and manufacturer of standard and custom rugged computer hardware, broke ground on its new headquarters and manufacturing facility in Prescott, Arizona on June 24. Expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2021, the 50,000 sq. ft. facility will be located near SR 89 and Deepwell Ranch/Crystal Lane. Michael McCormack, president and CEO of CP Technologies was joined by Billie Orr, Mayor Pro Tem, City of Prescott and Jim Chamberlain of Chamberlain Development to kick off construction.

Since its acquisition by Israeli-based Aeronautics Ltd. in 2018, CP Technologies has expanded its offerings of rugged high-performance computer platforms, data links and LCD displays for the military, industry and commercial markets to include CP Aeronautics, an industry group focused on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) solutions. With its UAV-friendly business policies and the airspace required to deploy UAV solutions, Arizona was an ideal location to expand manufacturing and enable a new phase of growth for CP Aeronautics.

“CP Technologies’ selection of Prescott demonstrates the quality of talent, pro-business environment and strategic location the region provides to high-tech manufacturers,” said Sandra Watson, President & CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “We thank CP Technologies for its significant investment in Arizona, one that will create hundreds of quality jobs for our residents and support our state’s global competitiveness.”

CP Technologies is dedicated to the continued development of Prescott’s business and technology community. The company has already joined forces with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Yavapai College to foster an innovative ecosystem and plans to leverage the impressive talent produced by these educational institutions in its hiring efforts. CP Technologies’ goal is to bring an additional 200 jobs to the area over the next four years.

“I want to thank CP Technologies for choosing to locate and invest in Prescott,” said Prescott Mayor Greg Mengarelli. “We are proud of our quality of life, world class educational resources and excellent transportation links here in Prescott. All of these have allowed us to attract outstanding, high wage technology jobs like those that CP Technologies is bringing.”

“We are proud to be a part of the outstanding technology and business community here in Prescott,” said McCormack. “I would like to thank Governor Ducey, the Arizona Commerce Authority, the City of Prescott, the Arizona Israel Technology Alliance, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Yavapai College and all of our partners who have welcomed CP Technologies and helped our relocation process run smoothly.”
