The Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) is the state’s leading economic development organization with a streamlined mission to grow and strengthen Arizona’s economy. The ACA uses a three-pronged approach to advance the overall economy: recruit out-of-state companies to expand their operations in Arizona; work with existing companies to grow their business in Arizona and beyond; and partner with entrepreneurs and companies large and small to create new jobs and businesses in targeted industries.

  • Recruit: The business attraction teams engage companies and their decision makers, in the U.S. and around the globe, to educate them about Arizona’s vast opportunities, low cost of doing business, rich talent pool, strategic Southwest location, pro-business policies and superior quality of life.
  • Grow: The business expansion teams engage with companies operating in the state, building and strengthening relationships with company decision makers to help retain and grow these existing businesses throughout Arizona.
  • Create: The business creation teams engage with entrepreneurs and early-stage companies through a suite of targeted programs and statewide events designed to spur growth, technology commercialization and capital investment within Arizona’s innovation ecosystem.

The ACA is powered by a leadership team comprised of the most notable individuals in Arizona who ensure the state’s aggressive economic-development agenda is carried out.

  • The ACA is overseen by a board of top business executives, innovative entrepreneurs, political leaders and university presidents.
  • The board is led by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey.
