Arizona has made a concerted effort in recent years to create a business-friendly, minimalist regulatory environment by cutting red tape and by repealing overly burdensome regulations that would otherwise make business more difficult for companies in the state.

We looked at over 300 sites in nearly 20 states before deciding to build our KOREPlex in Buckeye. Arizona’s pro-business environment was a key factor. We found Arizona’s streamlined approach strikes balance without adding unnecessary hurdles. That wasn’t the case in all the states we looked at, and we’re grateful to Arizona’s leaders for fostering a pro-business approach.

DIGITAL IDs

Arizona, in partnership with Apple, is the first state to provide digital IDs on smartphones with improved fraud protection and privacy. The MiD system will support both physical and online ID verification, making it easier for MVD transactions and traveling passengers to use digital IDs at security checkpoints.

Arizona became the first state in the nation to support the testing and operation of self-driving vehicles. The Institute of Automated Mobility (IAM) provides funding to accelerate the growth of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies. It aims to foster innovation, support expansion and create high-quality jobs across the state.

Arizona was the first state in the nation to establish recognition of out-of-state occupational licenses, making it easier for new Arizonans to get to work. The move allows professionals that require state-issued licenses to get to work immediately upon arriving in Arizona without having to spend money and time getting re-licensed.
