AZ Motion Picture Production Program
Our Arizona Film Commission provides contacts to local film offices, Film Ready Communities, governmental Film Resource Coordinators and local Industry Liaisons statewide who are ready to help you film in their communities.
There is not a singular State Film Permit in Arizona. Each jurisdiction may have it's own permit and/or notification process. To assist you with filming in Arizona, we ask productions filming in the state to Register Your Project with our office. This helps us assist you with resources, incentives, permitting contacts, locations and track the industry's economic impact to the state.
Disclaimer: Please contact each jurisdiction to ensure the permitting information and processes provided below have not changed. Please advise us of any updates via [email protected].

The Arizona FILM READY Communities program launched in 2023. The program helps participating jurisdictions promote their film locations, industry workforce, and small businesses that support and attract production work to their communities. As a result, production companies have a more informed, streamlined way to assess a community’s overall industry and business attractiveness.
The participating jurisdictions below are invested in attracting and supporting film and digital media productions in their communities with the following points of contact available to support your needs.
If your Arizona county, city, town, tribal community, census designated place, or unincorporated area would like to participate, email [email protected].
