The CCAT Global Symposium on Connected and Automated Vehicles and Infrastructure is an annual event featuring leaders in the transportation and mobility sector from across the globe. IAM member Exponent is part of a panel on Safety Metrics for automated vehicles. Jeffrey Wishart, managing engineer at Exponent, will discuss how being able to quantitatively measure the safety performance of AVs is critical to large-scale deployment. This discussion will focus on various metrics, methods, and tools that have been developed to assess and quantify the safety performance of automated vehicles.
