EcoMotion: Redefining Roads

The Redefining Roads Panel at EcoMotion featured innovation strategists from the Institute of Automated Mobility, Israel’s transportation department, iRoads, the International Road Federation (IRF) in Switzerland and the City of Turin, Italy’s City Lab Initiative. IAM’s safety metrics project and real world testbed helped frame the discussion among panelists on best practices. Providing their unique perspective, the panelists highlighted the opportunities to deploy technologies on our roadway systems for increased safety and efficiency, mechanisms to engage the public, to address regulatory requirements and bridge the urban-rural divide.
