Automated Traffic Incident Reconstruction, Indexing, and Reporting
The Automated Traffic Incident Reconstruction, Indexing, and Reporting (AVACAR) project aims to use safety assessment data to reconstruct traffic incidents for more accurate and efficient reporting. Using advanced unmanned aerial system technology, State Farm, Arizona State University, Exponent and the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (McDOT) will conduct cutting-edge research in computer science and traffic engineering. By discovering an accurate and efficient traffic accident reporting system, this project holds promise for new commercialization and market investment opportunities.
