Carlisle Companies Corporate Headquarters Moving to Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ (February 11, 2016)  Carlisle Companies Incorporated, a $3.5 billion global diversified manufacturer, will relocate its Corporate Headquarters to Phoenix beginning in the second quarter of this year.

Founded in 1917, Carlisle’s current Corporate Office is in Charlotte, North Carolina. Carlisle manufactures a broad range of products including commercial roofing, interconnected products, fluid handling technologies, brake and friction systems, and foodservice products.

Carlisle’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Chris Koch, commented on the relocation, “Over the past 8 years we have implemented a strategic vision that has benefited our customers, shareholders and employees. We have made several strategic acquisitions as well as divested various non-core businesses, as we have focused our efforts around 5 key businesses. We have become more global as well, expanding operations around the world. Our footprint has changed, and as a result, we have made the decision to relocate our Corporate Headquarters to Phoenix. We are excited to become part of a dynamic Phoenix business community. Phoenix will position us closer to many of our major customers, our employees on the West Coast and in Mexico, and provide us better access to our Asia Pacific markets. We are looking forward to moving to Phoenix and taking advantage of all that this vibrant area has to offer our employees, including an outstanding and affordable quality of life.”

“I am extremely pleased to welcome Carlisle to Arizona,” said Governor Doug Ducey. “Carlisle’s decision to relocate their Corporate Headquarters to Arizona not only speaks volumes about our state’s pro-business environment, skilled workforce and quality of life, it is a clear signal of Arizona’s competitive edge.”

“Carlisle’s selection of Arizona for their Corporate Headquarters demonstrates that our state is the ideal location for doing business,” said Sandra Watson, Arizona Commerce Authority President & CEO. “We are proud of the collaborative effort with Governor Ducey and our partners to recruit this industry leader to Arizona. This project is a significant investment in our state and we thank Carlisle for their confidence in and commitment to Arizona.”

The offices, located at Kierland One, a Hines building in North Phoenix, is estimated to be up and running late summer.

“Carlisle’s decision to establish headquarters in Phoenix is a vote of confidence in our local economy,” said Mayor Greg Stanton. “This innovative company is bringing with it a talented executive team and deep industry knowledge – both of which will continue to position Phoenix as a destination for cutting-edge companies.”

“Our team worked closely with the company during the due diligence period to ensure Carlisle experienced a smooth entrance into the market,” said Chris Camacho, President and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. “Carlisle’s selection of Greater Phoenix illustrates the world class market we have become; and having a company such as Carlisle set up their headquarters in Phoenix metro further reinforces the existence of a strong business economy and talented workforce.”

District 2 Phoenix City Councilman Jim Waring also stated, “Phoenix’s Kierland area is a prime location for Carlisle to relocate its Corporate Headquarters. The area offers a well-educated workforce, quality housing and numerous amenities on all scales, which are attractive to major employers and their employees.”

The relocation is planned to be completed by the end of 2016.
