Governor Doug Ducey Speaks on Growing Phoenix Tech Scene at Nerdery Office Grand Opening
Nerdery officially opens new regional headquarters to join Phoenix’s tech boom
PHOENIX, AZ (October 24, 2019) — Nerdery, a leading digital consultancy, officially announced the opening of its new regional Phoenix headquarters in Park Central with the support of the Arizona Commerce Authority and Governor Doug Ducey, who participated in an opening reception at 2 p.m. today. Gov. Ducey spoke on how the move signals a boom in Phoenix’s tech scene, as the city becomes a hub for technology leaders and talent.
“With the arrival of Nerdery’s regional headquarters, Arizona’s tech sector is growing even stronger,” said Gov. Ducey. “We’re proud Nerdery chose Arizona as the place to grow its business.”
“Thanks to significant investments from innovative companies like Nerdery, Arizona’s tech industry is growing 40 percent faster than the national average,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “We are grateful for Nerdery’s commitment to advancing Arizona’s reputation as a global tech hub, and we congratulate the company on the opening of its impressive new regional headquarters!”
Nerdery’s new office is near Phoenix’s growing innovation district, Phoenix Core, located in historic midtown. Moving to the center of the city will allow Nerdery to contribute to Phoenix’s expanding technology opportunities and attract strong talent to build the next generation of technologists. Nerdery’s offerings — platform modernization, cloud services, digital product development, Nerdery collaborative and IoT services — have quickly become the core of their business model.
“We are excited to expand our presence in the Arizona tech community — where we’ve been since 2014 — and to do our part in growing Phoenix as a tech-centric hub of the West,” said Adrian Slobin, CEO at Nerdery. “Our team is proud to be able to partner with our clients across the region out of this talent-rich and attractive location.”
Examples of Nerdery’s recent partnerships include an ongoing digital transformation engagement with premier golf brand PING, creating the event experience for Google’s annual Cloud Next, and leading a DevOps transition for Scientific Technologies Corporation (STC).
Nerdery is also partnering with state agencies across Arizona to advance the State’s tech initiatives and provide better digital experiences for Arizona citizens. By upgrading legacy platforms and utilizing a cloud-first approach, Nerdery is able to help continue Arizona’s technological growth and work on State projects based out of the new Phoenix office.
