Rose Acre Farms Breaks Ground On Desert Valley Egg Farm In La Paz County
Representing an over $100 million investment, the farm will create 150 new jobs
LA PAZ COUNTY, AZ (May 5, 2023) – Becker Development and Consulting LLC, along with its client, Rose Acre Farms, held a groundbreaking ceremony today for its second egg production farm named Desert Valley Egg Farm in La Paz County, Arizona. Rose Acre Farms will start construction of Desert Valley Egg Farm in fall 2023, investing more than $100 million on the farm, which is expected to be complete by 2026. Desert Valley Egg Farm will house 2.2 million cage-free laying hens and will create an additional 150 jobs, bringing Rose Acre Farms to more than 300 employees in La Paz County.
Rose Acre Farms and Becker Development and Consulting LLC celebrated the groundbreaking alongside the Arizona Commerce Authority, La Paz County officials, legislative and community leaders.
“We started this project in August 2013 and are excited to mark this milestone today,” said Vincent (Skip) Becker, President of Becker Development and Consulting, LLC and incoming President of the Arizona Association for Economic Development. “We are grateful to our partners including the Arizona Commerce Authority, Arizona California Railroad and APS for their support that Rose Acre Farms could grow a responsible economic development project in La Paz County. Once we had the backing of these critical partners, we knew we could start to build local support. “We’re excited to see how the farm will contribute to the community as Rose Acre Farms continues to play an important role in Arizona agribusiness.”
