The National Science Foundation's (NSF) SBIR program transforms scientific and engineering discoveries into products and services with commercial and societal impact. Each year, NSF awards more than $200 million in funding for research and development (R&D) to approximately 400 tech startups across the United States in nearly all areas, including manufacturing, artificial intelligence, energy technologies, photonics, space and more.
